Do In Advance:
- REGISTER!
- Team up
- Gather materials from Participant Provided Materials list (see tab)
- Read through the Hunt materials
- Check out the links provided for further reference
- Make up a cheer for challenge #23
- Contact the New York City Gay Men's Chorus for challenge #32
- Decorate a face on a brown paper bag for challenge #58
- Each challenge must be documented by video/photography. The winning team will be determined by the greatest accumulation of points and will be graced with the title of honor: "HuManatee Heroes."
- Video/Photography: Please assign one camera (one for video and photography) for capturing challenge proofs; minimize each challenge proof to a brief video or one photo.
- Bring a second camera along for memories.
- Completing a Challenge: At least one (1) team member must complete each challenge for the team to be awarded a point. Challenges can be repeated, however, additional points will only be awarded where specified.
- Money Spending: In completing challenges, money may be spent on only the items indicated in the section entitled Participant Provided Materials. No exceptions.
- Point-Rating: All challenges are worth one (1) point, unless otherwise indicated.
- Teams: Form a team of at least two (2) people and devise a creative name. Elect a captain who will be responsible for reporting the team’s achievements at the dinner meet-up
- Hunting with Honor: The purpose of this event is to embrace the spirit of humanity. Please be conscious of this as you approach people, and sensitive to the diversity you will encounter. Compassion overrides competitiveness in this event. Please do not offend.
- Humiliation Level: Fill in the appropriate smile following each completed challenge to indicate a low, medium or high level of experienced humiliation
Tips & Tricks:
- Be sure to REGISTER your team! Click the Register tab above!
- Think environmentally. Please do not leave any trash in your wake. If possible, download the packet onto a portable device rather than print it. Print only the challenge sheets, fill-in sheets, and keep in touch list.
- Save time by grouping challenges according to the locations and/or neighborhoods each can be completed in
- Strategize with your team: identify talents/proficiencies/fears etc. to better coordinate your efforts, save time, and WIN!
- Either bring a container to safeguard your eggs or complete challenge #9 before it cracks!
